“Klanka tells me, You seek the spherical cube,” he glared. “For what purpose?” There was an excruciating silence, and Bordon and Aimlon stared at a loss for words. “Speak!” He shouted “Who ordered this inquisition of our land!?” “There is no inquisition.” Bordon said. “How did you find us!?” “We were sent to find the spherical cube and return it to the Even for declun.” Bapanaki was silent and paced to the wall and stared at a tapestry that showed stars and a large ball that seemed to be propelling itself. He looked back to the brothers.” How did you find us?” He said in his normal speaking tone, he had a deep baritone voice. “My brother and I met with the farsee, who told us the location of the spherical cube, and sent an image to my mind's eye. I do not wish to fulfill my mission, I understand the importance of the artifact and seek to protect it, it is our purpose.” Aimlon stood there while his brother was speaking and noticed something out of the corner of his eye. His whip blade and his brother's sack of maps and books sticking out of the pile of golden things, and a little bit over was his brother's pipe and string. He wanted to walk over there and grab but restrained himself and nudged his brother. “Not now.” Bordon said annoyed.” If you relinquish it to me I will ensure its safety.” “What do you know of it?” “In my dreams, I see stars and people who don’t look like us, I see an oasis.” “Do you know of the Ibariti?” “No.” the boys asked with a puzzled look. “The Ibariti is the code of our tribe. Long ago, we were the first people, we were given this land by the Frumai, the seeders of planets, all of us, you, me, the Vibarians. We are the children of the Frumai. Raised on their moving planets to be planted and reach their level.” He walked down the wall to the next tapestry showing a planet.” Their vessel was damaged upon landing on our planet, leaving the Frumai stranded where with the help of seeds, rebuilt their moving planet over the course of many rotations, when they left, they had left many things, one such thing was the spherical cube, the legend holds that it is responsible for giving life to their moving planets, and one day they will return for it. Over time it has changed hands and lived among many people, however some want to use it for their own purposes. It is strange and seems to speak to me, it told me you both were coming here and it told me that when they come I am obliged to give it you, for your bloodline is to be the keepers of the cube and when the Frumai return it will be your descendants to return it to them. It was written in the universe that our meeting would take place.” Aimlon was stunned and looked at his brother, and Bordon looked back at him with a straight face. Bapanaki went to the back of the room behind the pile of treasure and returned with a strange looking object the size of his palm and placed it in Bordon’s hand firmly and shook it as they both met gaze. Aimlon could not wait any longer to ask him about their stolen items. ”Bapanaki,” Bapanaki was stunned he had not told them his name. “Yes?” “Our items were stolen on our journey and spores them in your trove.” He pointed towards them. “You boys take all you like, there is plenty, it is our way to take from anyone who enters the Kaloke, for you I am deeply sorry, take.” Aimlon grabbed his whip blade and holstered it then grabbed aimlons sack and began filling it with declun and other treasure. Bordon looked at Bapanaki and thanked him. “Tonight there will be a feast in both your honor. I will gather the people. It will be the most delicious meal you boys have ever tasted. Later that night the whole villa comuned in the center for a massive feast not uncommon for these people. They tribal hunters had brought in one of those massive the boys had seen grazing and began to prepare it. As customary, the person who had killed it was given the bollocks and massive organ in what would be the chest cavity on a person. They then divided the animal; its head, all six legs, the back, and the tails, none of the animal was wasted. The letherers took the hide to make clothing. The brothers sat at a table with Bapanaki as the feast was prepared. Alongside the beast, there was a drink made from fermented berries, especially strong, and kaklak which were the tumors from the red leaf plant seasoned with flowers. It was obvious that the villa often partook in red leaf as it stunk with red leaf, a smell which could only be described by sensation off putting hoodle. As the second sun went down the feast was completed, the children ate initially followed by the gardeners, then the hunters, the warriors, and at last Bapanaki and the brothers. They were served by the most beautiful female gardeners who served their food with a bow and departed upon their table was a wooden bowl full or red leaf, a large deep cylinder full of the drink and a heap of charred meat and a hefty side of kaklak. “What is the name of this place?” Aimlon asked as he slurped down the drink. “The name is Kanakatai, meaning in your language fulfilling. Since I have told you this I need you to vow to never utter its name to any outsiders.” “Are there any other villas like this” Bordon asked, puffing the red leaf. There are many in Kaloke, Kartik, and Konak, the biggest is Shimok, the size of many Kanakatais. They have giant stone buildings that go deep into the ground. It is very cold there and often has a white shawl.” “Do you ever leave the villa?” Bordon asked. “Long ago. I cannot leave the village for there is too much to deal with here, I manage trade and handle personal matters.” They ate, they ate so much their stomachs were tight, that night a family welcomed them to stay in their home with them, and were afforded the luxury of sleeping inside on the ground. It was a lovely family of an adult male, an adult female and two adolescent boys, and a baby girl. In the morning the family prepared them a breakfast of crawlers and flowers, to which the brothers did not eat without hesitation they were given a sack full of red leaf, and four bottles of the drink from the night before, as they finished their meal they were greeted by one of the leatherers who had made two magnificent cloaks for them, from beasts they had previously feasted on. They accepted these gift with reverence, the brothers could not thank them in their language so they bowed.
