“What did she show you?” “Bliss.” Bordon replied. The boys sat on an unscalable cliff that overlooked the tribe's habitat; they were as deep into the tribe's territory as anyone could be. The brothers were scared but even more were distracted by Bordon’s conviction. They were hot in the trail of the shoe spherical cube, it was in their grasps and their pointless journey finally some sort of semblance of a reason. Bordon could see it’s place behind his eyes and knew exactly how to obtain it. As they stared down the cliff, they watched the tiny peoples scurry like crawlers on the forest floor. It was a small villa with a large throne house surrounded by a meat market and a leather den with homes scattered amongst the bowl assumed to be impenetrable. Small fields of red leaf and berries, a self-sustaining simple way of life undisturbed by what now seemed to be the useless outside world. “How do we get down there?” Aimlon said, staring at his brother as he observed the community.”We will not be able to pay the Faltron on time anymore, we are deep In the forest far off from the trail. What use is the spherical cube anymore? We shall start a new life beyond the forest. You have told me stories of the civilization on the other end of the forest. We could join their army. We do not need the spherical cube anymore. There is no need for it anymore, let's leave!” “No, there is a mighty purpose for the spherical cube, when I close my eyes I see stars and, and… I cannot comprehend what I am seeing, all I know is this is a precious necessity for the good of humanity. We are on a quest from God!” “What do we do with this thing when we obtain it? No good will come of it if we give it to the faltron clan.” “Neither the short fat demon man. We will keep it stored deep in the earth at a location only we know, and we can’t tell anyone, ever! We will pass the secret on to the most trusted youngster when that time comes.” “I do not understand what has come over you! Speaking of the future as if we have one, we will not make it back through the forest without the Faltron clan gutting and skinning us to make skin capes!” “Calm yourself Aimlon, we were awarded safe travel by God, we are protected by the universe, trust me brother.” “How can I trust this excrement you are spewing, we got lucky! Luck is a finite resource, and we have exhausted it!” “If you follow me you will be safe. I guarantee you!” Bordon said, staring into his brother's eyes as if the torch was lit with no wit no one occupying the hut.”We must rest here and get an early start at first sun, and make our way to the villa, and acquire the spherical cube as soon as we can so we can make it back to Tetahrta to begin something.” “What are we beginning?” Aimlon said, with his eyes squinted and his mouth ajar. “I do not know just yet.” Bordon found a safe spot, laid down, got comfortable, and shut his eyes. Aimlon stared flabbergasted, eventually finding a spot leaned against a tree. As Aimlon awoke, he noticed he was swarmed with flyers and crawlers all over his body. Bordon was already up staring down the cliff face once again. “I will give you time to wake up more, but we must leave soon.” Bordon stone faced was exhilarated to finally see the spherical cube in person.”What a purpose,” Bordon thinks “ a purpose to behold, we are blessed to be the couriers of this thing! We are merely a drop of rain in the bucket of this artifact's existence, a small bucket more like a clay cup of individuals to behold it. As Aimlon stood up rubbing his eyes and yawning, Bordon looked at him and said “follow me.” The boys made their way down the backside of Dorvas peak being careful to not slip down a the steep ravines, eventually they made it to a place where the cone wood recedes and opens into a vast gulch meadow with nothing in their view but the rest of the mountain rage with a river running through the bottom of the mountains cutting a valley. It was surprising the grasses were this green this time of year. The red sun slowly eclipsed the first sun, and embellished the shadows. Subsiding the boys witnessed a great quad horned fur creature with six legs and two tales feeding on some wild berries. The brothers watched with jealousy in their hearts but kept moving. The trail seemed to just appear out of now leading back to just beneath the peak, just beyond that massive cliff face. Before they could see the villa they were swarmed by some of the tribes warriors riding the same beasts they had witnessed grazing up close the beasts were as tall as two mean and and two arm lengths wide 3 of the warriors dismounted speaking in a strange foreign tongue gesturing to each other pointing back to the villa and back to boys. Aimlon whispers to Bordon” We are soup now!” “Shhhh” Bordon whispers back and is punched in the stomach by one of the warriors he gestures to their hands and pointed towards the sun, to which he responds with a puzzled look and is punched in the stomach again, the warrior gestures once more. He pantomimes it and the brothers raise their hands. “We are on a quest for the spherical cube.” Bordon said. All of the warriors looked at him but only seemed to understand one word. “Cube?” The female warrior said. To which Bordon was punched in the stomach again this time falling to the ground clutching his midsection. “Spherical cube!” The same warrior lifts his foot up to stomp and the woman seems to tell him no in their language and proceeds to reprimand him. Before the brothers knew it they were now surrounded by the warriors on route down the tribal road to the settlement. When the party made it to the villa they were met by the surprised faces of the occupants of the villa most of them wore gowns and half gowns for the males, one of the females dropped her bowl of berries she was holding in bewilderment, a strange sight to see of course. The female leader of the warriors gestured to one of the other warriors to inform Bapanaki of the arrival of the brothers. The excitement was not all on the tribals, the brothers seemed to be in another world staring at the architecture that seemed to make the huts the boys were accustomed to look backwards. Their homes were on stilts made of wood with grass roofs with doors and some with windows, something only known to prestigious homes owned by the wealthy. Their path was a rock splitting a river of people. Once they made it to the throne house they were greeted by the warrior sent ahead standing at the door who told the other something in their language once again and gestured the boys in. Bapanaki sat on pile of gold trinkets and declun coins arranged to create a makeshift seat, the large room was lit by torches encased by a green glass, there he sat with a huge wooden mask with a brown cloak that appeared to have images of the animal they had seen seen grazing beyond the villa. The man stood up, removed his mask showing a burly fair skinned man with a large white beard and hair, and spoke a language that was familiar to the brothers.
