Brave New World

Odd, original and irreverent, Aldous Huxley's tour de force is a darkly satiric vision of a "utopian" future --where humans are genetically bred and pharmaceutically anesthetized...

You're in the middle of the ride (a logic exercise)

An essay I wrote in my early 20's, as a stream of consciousness piece, about perception and analyzing valid thoughts. Directed at an indirect 2nd party, I continually return...

Hmm, interesting. I like “Nearly Forgotten” and it calls to mind the one l wrote called, “Light Dances on the the Ceiling.” They are similar poems but you used a lot less words to achieve the result (which can be preferable sometimes). It’s on my page somewhere, if you’d want to peruse it and compare/contrast.

very true.
My poem was an attempt to illustrate how we can imagine or project an expectation of something in life before we actually have the experiences....‘when we encounter the real’ x or y, we’re forced to adjust to what this requires or feels like as opposed to a supposition. That was really the concept l wanted to outline.

I thank you, surpassingly, for reading my work and providing a remark!

LoL! I get more alarmed when I see the gangling house centipede (who usually eats those spiders) either sitting still or terrifyingly tearing ass across the wall. Our homes attract all of god's creatures.

Great little peak into an everyday, incidental observance.

here's another by poet/artist Jonas Mekas with the same vibe– “In the very end, civilizations perish because they listen to their politicians and not to their poets.”

super! I’m glad I thought to recommend it. If anything, we should take advantage of our art for the therapeutic relief it can provide.

Good one, Tim. As Lao Tzu said, [effortless action can lead to greater outcomes.] Not sure if you read my “Be As You Are” poem, but this made me think of it.

Shu, it is so great you felt this way! I’m well aware that my poems only seem to find a specific audience and this one went relatively unnoticed when l promoted it.

People wonder en masse about who will miss them when they pass...l think it insignificant. This prescient woman saw the world just as it was dark and cold...our feelings have merit indeed.
