Oh I realize that. I often do the same thing. I think many of us are empaths which enables us to express experiences and feelings as if they are our own.

This is a stunning poem, Luciana. I have felt that way myself. What a beautiful way to express that aching longing to experience someone so deeply, and hoping to be seen by them in return.
The eyes are not only the windows to a person’s soul, but as you describe them —to their whole universe.

This is an intriguing poem, Mark. So much can be read into it. Simple yet oddly profound.

Hahaha. Thanks, Phil. I had to look up what school ma’am means…I was surprised to learn that the children’s dentist, who branded herself the ‘dino dentist’ to attract the little ones, would tell them they have bugs creeping around in their mouths. Yucky! My 3 year old grandson finally stopped having nightmares about wolves! :-p

I like this one a lot, Mark. Introspective and tender. My favorite lines:

In my insensibility, my
heart deserted me

A body is a falling leaf;
true love is evergreen

I wrote a poem with the same message in it, very recently! Well done.

Thank you, Ramesh! I’m so happy my silly poem resonated with you. I agree with your appreciation of the old ways of dressing that may be traditional for our culture. But when you accumulate irrelevant’stuff’, it’s time to throw it out! Lol
