Warm Bodies
A girl has been broken up with by her boyfriend, but for some reason he seems to be just as sad as her about the split. Both teens look like they’re in a depressing state, but the girl has no hope for color returning to her face.
It’s getting dark outside You could light a candle to burn We could sit up against a fireplace Watch wood turn auburn Now when your friends see you The heat left your face The redness in your cheeks, The warmth of your smile now faded away It’s all gone I left it an icey blue and purple tone Your eye bags hang to your knees Your skin white as snow You look like a phantom As if you do hauntings You even sound sore Like death is calling But we both know you aren’t going to die You just look dead from the outside All droopy and sad But it’s not as bad As how I look Even though I’ve dressed up in my warm tones I’m just as gloom and torn My smile hanging on one thread I’m just better at hiding my feelings of being Dead We both need saving I think that’s why we are apart Because we both know what makes us happy at Heart Isn’t what we brought to each other But your love was something that I longed to Have been better Now we are both the unliving We both have the same color palette Burgundy, dark green, and Every color that can not be seen I hope one day We get the warmth in our smiles back Maybe we could work it out Or maybe it’s all faded to black But it’s all fine Maybe we’ll find each other in a different life Maybe our color won’t fade But there’s no difference between us After all, we are just warm bodies anyway.
