As I look out the window at the wind blowing through the top of an oak tree wondering if it is an angel sitting at the top of it at guard for me and my boys and loved ones and all the new people and love in my life As I pay attention to the tree swaying the top of it sways back and forth the pines surrounding it not yet with wind blowing through them The leaves have yet to start falling off of the oak tree they are yellow and red signs of autumn and fall on the tree but it is almost winter now The oak tree sways with the wind blowing through it and it does it like it's dancing for God To sit and watch this tree in between the pines The beauty of God's creation. A butterfly flies by something so out of season and now a wasp and dragonfly. The family of yellow belly finches all in the oak tree in the front yard all these creatures out of season upon us because it's almost winter This morning I saw a cardinal flying almost wonder what God is trying to show and tell me. The one thing I noticed about that oak tree in the back in the midst of the pines is I never see crows land on the top of it like on all the other trees. Watching the wind blowing through the oak tree in the midst of the pines like it's dancing on it's own before God and the angels on top of it. Wondering now if the oak represents me and what God is doing on and through my life for him right now. And the pines representing my boys and the past year. The brokenness of a mothers heart for her boys, family, the happiness in that same women's heart For something new on her life. But she wonders what the wasp, butterfly, dragonfly, and almost every bird out of season means now in her life and in her present and future. Does the oak in the midst of the pines mean she needs to just fully let go of herself let God be God and do what he's doing both the old and the new. Just like the oak tree she's stronger with God and weaker to herself. Just like the oak tree she will always rise from the midst of her ashes. Her roots are strong just like that of the oak tree. But her heart is torn between her boys and the old and a new love she has found out of nowhere. As she watches the oak tree sway in the midst of the pines she wonders of its her guardian angel watching over her. The oak in the midst of the pines. She may die of hunger or of pain or just the coldness of her home before these things are known or answered to her. But she will stand and watch the swaying of the wind blowing through that oak in the midst of the pines As she was writing that paragraph the oak started to dance and sway in the midst of the pines. The pines are all standing still it's only that oak tree dancing and swaying in the wind. She doesn't know what tomorrow holds for her or her boys or the newest love in her heart only God knows those things and answers.
