Once upon a time….. There was a Princess who had long silver hair and emerald green eyes. She wore a purple glittery dress with white sleeves that shimmered with gold. On her feet she had golden slippers. She was very beautiful but she was unhappy because she had no kingdom. She was sad and lonely without a place to call her own. She wandered all around the land trying to fit in anywhere. Every kingdom she came to just wasn’t a good fit. No one else looked like her or dressed like her. And everyone was much smarter than her. They all had important jobs and all the other princesses had handsome princes who wanted to marry them, but this princess didn’t. They all had big beautiful castles to live in, but this princess had no castle. No one wanted her. Then one bright sunny day she was wandering through the land and came to a beautiful pond. As she sat by the edge of the pond she found a beautiful stone. She closed her eyes and made a wish, then tossed the stone into the pond. All of a sudden the water began to ripple and bubble. A beautiful fish appeared at the surface. The beautiful fish told her he would grant her wish if she would help him find his missing wife. She agreed to help him. He told the princess that one day his wife went looking for food and never came back. They live in a small pond so he just couldn’t understand why he couldn’t find her. It was like she just vanished. He told the princess that his wife has the most beautiful silver and purple scales and golden fins. Her eyes are the most beautiful emerald green. She is the most beautiful fish in all the land. The Princess decided to talk to some of the other fish to see if they might know what happened to her. After many days and talking to many fish the princess was starting to lose hope. She was sitting by the pond contemplating what to do next when she saw a turtle basking in the sun. She decided to ask the turtle if he knew what happened to the beautiful fish’s wife. The turtle told her the beautiful fish came to him one day and said she was tired of swimming in the little pond and wanted to see more of the world. He gave her a beautiful stone. It was a magic stone. He told her to close her eyes and make a wish and then throw the stone out of the pond and her wish would be granted. The turtle said he hasn’t seen her since. Suddenly everything started to make sense. The princess finally knew why she looked different than the other princesses and didn’t belong anywhere. The pond was her home. She did have a kingdom and a prince. She called to the beautiful fish and told him everything. He looked for the magic stone and brought it to the princess. She closed her eyes and made her wish then tossed the stone into the water. The next thing she knew she was a beautiful fish again. The two beautiful fish swam excitedly around their little pond and….. Lived happily ever after
