There once was a girl named Cherry Ann Lane. She lived on a hill and all thought she lame. From far and wide they all believed and came. One by one found she was simply just tame. Still looking for fun, they’d put her to shame. Not looking within, they knew who to blame! One saw through the fun and looked far away, Unable to save but loved her the same. Her looks were homely, disfigured, and weak. How does she have the strength to live and speak?! They laughed at her lack of rhyme and strange tongue. Still, a magnetic pull. He knew where from. He thought of her time every single night. He prayed to Jesus, Krishna, and the like; To God the Almighty and Thee and Thine. He prayed every night and then took a sigh. “Oh!” He wondered, “How can I make her mine?” Then made a wish upon the ruby, shined. By ALL powers and names combined he dreamt. And at sunrise lay awake, calm and wept. A request sparked within her heart and mind! “Will you marry me?” It said. Curious, And her reply was the same every time: Tell me your name so I may know you. I accept your proposal sir or ma’am, to fuse. May we merge and both feel the sun. Eventually, the poor came less and less and every night she’d feel a warm caress. An apology sensed, It: “I digress.” He would wish upon a diamond so lust to spark her senses with the slight of touch. “I made a wish upon the brightest star.” “Spoke to RA, the Son, and ALL from afar to ask that we combine and never part.” The way you are has thus captured my heart.” What is your name? Where are you from? With a boast he states “I am thee and thine And you are mine. Will be my lovely shrine! I compel you to say yes! (to this crime) At first Cherry Ann Lane lay in dismay Is a god in love with me at this stay? It feels off, something forbade Is this a god? Or simply an abade? Do even the priests poke fun of me now? Have I not forgiven them all? Looking to the darkness, How? Why did I appear so haute, so boastful? Allowed the ego to take hold, shameful! But the damage was done by all of him. He disgraced himself, his love, and his kin. Joined a fold with desire to atone. Became a monk but still felt all alone. He prayed to water, earth, fire and air for someone up there to hear him down here. As if dreams were lost far and wide to wind, in any which manner he could thus bend. Meanwhile, Cherry called upon some aid to the fathers, brothers, and sisters: rang. He was sent to the hill since had not came. Seeing her, could not remember his name! In hearing her speak, lacking the’s and thou’s, direct yet unbroken, within this sound. While she was not pressured to use rhyme, He could sense her need to speak in right line. God, hearing her sing was like leaving time. Was it all a test? What will happen next? He took long pause, examining the flaws. She did not at all discuss the sweet dreams. He knows things are not at all which they seem. Alas! Spun around and states “I forgot,” He had not yet asked the name of her god. In order to offer an excuse for… Thought. In order to “pray,” be on the same… page. Hmm, feels himself change. “To whom does thou worship, Cherry Ann Lane? If you don’t mind me wondering, the same? In regard to your heart, who doest thou claim?” Sir, the only one that I serve does not have a name. A nobody, a nothing, a quite tame. A (w)hole by which my desires do lie. Sometimes I lay awake during the night to see what will shine forth: Love and light? Asking: why I have plight? I confess this act has given me sight. In hearing this he felt it quite unwise and wondered why she held her chest this time. What was interesting and to his surprise, when speaking she lifted her lovely eyes. Without choosing to preach, he took her hand. They went outside, both their feet in the sand. ….. He pictured a point, a tunnel, a hole. Imagining rapt, more fixed than a bole. He knocked three times during the day also from his heart to hers, would fall full circle. Something familiar coming through the dark. And remember his face? He’d left a mark. Sudden piercing warmth, each chakra is lit! Synergy within this energy hits… He rushes to the hillside. Rain, sleet, snow! Sees, now, the gothic cathedral- below. Found heaven on earth a long time ago.
