“I’m doing very well I love you so much sweetheart don’t be worrying ok my little princess I’m always with you”.

As the tears stained my face, blurring my vision, my mind focused on that text. His last text to me. He looked different as his lifeless body laid there, unknown to my memory. Pale, cold. The colour had been drained from him, indicating his time on this world was over. It hurt, stung, as people’s cries echoed around me; the surrounding atmosphere now filled with sorrow and misery. The throbbing torment that lingered within my throat made me feel weak, and trapped as I was incomprehensible, restraining further tears. I will forever be your princess, Lee.
