Necessary
Spring 24
Our stories must be told. Every experience, every moment has shaped me and provided me with the necessary insight to write my stories. This evolution is crucial for growth. As Summer approaches and the first day of June is upon us, I am anticipating hot days, sweaty nights, and the sound of cicadas buzzing. I have been exploring new opportunities, such as working as a sample girl for liquor companies at festivals. I am trying to move out of my mom's house with my child, and perhaps out of state, leaving it all up to fate. Sometimes it's hard to share stories when they require background information that the reader may not possess. I prefer to live in the present rather than dwell on the past. Today, I worked both of my jobs and tried to juggle everything. I set up a fake meeting to give myself some breathing room before heading to a tasting event. Despite some hiccups, like forgetting my phone and rushing back home, I managed to pull through. I believe that there is no such thing as being late, as the universe always works in its own time. At the tasting event, I met a woman who reminded me of a good friend. We bonded over drinks and had a great time chatting. I appreciate the kindness that the universe has brought into my life, especially in the form of new friendships. While I once believed in the fairytale of finding love and living happily ever after, I now see things differently. I have learned to prioritize my own happiness and well-being. Love can be freeing if we allow it to comfort us and guide us through life's challenges. Our stories have the power to liberate us if we embrace them fully.
