My Crayon
I live in a blank world with nothing. The streets are bare and the houses are white. Everything is just a black outline. I feel sad and lonely at every step, and this is the story of how I saved it all. One sunny morning – well, it could've been sunny, no one could tell – I found a pack of crayons under my kitchen table, the only thing in the town with colours. A blue, red, green, purple, yellow and brown crayon filled up the pack and this filled me up with joy and hope. I picked out the green one, and went outside. I bent down and breathed in heavily, then started scribbling on the grass. It got filled with colour in an instant and now the ground was happy, fun to frolic in! Out i pulled the blue a leaped as high as my legs could take me, I darted the crayon across the sky and it overflowed with colour, soon my whole house was an exciting, joyful place to go and it was like a song was being played with violins and trumpets and singers who had the voices of angels. This had never happened. I knocked on the neighbours door, and the boy there came to play. We coloured his house a random shade of green then moved onto the girl in the next house. In about half an hour, the whole town was out, colouring and scribbling all the houses and trees, even some birds had orange spots. My Dad came out, “Eh? What is this rubbish about?” Soon his face and his moustache were pointing up to the sun we had just coloured. The town for one was happy, and all because of a little hope, joy and positivity. END
