Love on a beach

A girl named Cori staying at her dad’s, like every summer. But this summer is different, this summer she finds love.

Cori heads down to the beach that’s not too far from her dad’s place. She runs into the water. She had been swimming for about an hour before a jellyfish decided it would sting her.



When she sits down, then someone comes and sits next to her.” Do you need ointment” says the person.
”Yes” Cori says in pain.
”Ok” says the person taking the ointment from her bag.” Oh I’m Alex and my pronouns are she/they” they say.She hands the ointment.
”Cool why do you Introduce yourself with pronouns” Cori says.
”So people use both” Alex says.
”Ok” Cori responds” Btw I’m Cori and my  pronouns are she/her.”Cori hands the ointment back.

3 hours later, Cori is chilling in her room when she hears a knock.” I’ll get it” Cori yells. When she opens the door she sees Alex, to her surprise.”Hi” Alex says” Want to go to the beach.”
”I guess” Cori says.
”Yay. Go get your stuff” they say.
”Ok” Cori responds.

Cori comes back down and they head for the beach. On their way to the beach, Cori ask” Why did you ask me to  come to the beach.”
“Cause all my friends dislike the beach” Alex's response
“Oh ok” Cori says “How old are you.”
“20” she says” What about you.”
“18, I'm going into uni next year.”

When they get to the beach they run into the water. There's Awkward silence. Cori blushes but looks away so quickly that Alex doesn't realize.
“The Beach is pretty” Cori says to break the silence.
“Ya” Alex responds.

6 days past of them going to the beach. On day 7 the same thing happens.”Hi again” Alex says
“Hi” Cori says” Let’s go.”
“Ok” they responded.
Like the last few days, no one was there” Hey can I tell you something” they both said at the same time. 
“You go first” Cori says.
“Ok. I have  a crush on you” Alex says
“Ok. I was not expecting that, but same” Cori says with guilt. There is a little bit of sadness in her eyes
”We can't because I'm only here for the rest of the summer.
”Oh. We can do long distance when the summer ends” Alex says.
”I will think about it” Cori responded.

The next day, Alex comes earlier than usual. Today she comes around 12 Instead of 6. When Cori answers the door it’s Alex. They say” Soo.”
Cori responds” Come in.”When did both inside they talk.”So what is it” Alex asked.
“We can date but I don’t know if I can do long distance” Cori says.
“When we do long distance we can call a lot and I will come to visit you” Alex responded.

The next day comes, and Alex knocks on the door like every day.”Hi” Alex says.
“Hello Alex” Cori says.
They walk to the beach and run into the water. Alex picks up Cori and spins her around. When Alex puts her down, they pull into a kiss, the first one. When they pull out Alex says” God you're pretty.
Cori responds” Your amazing”

A few days pass of going to the beach.
“Hi again” Alex says. Cori responds with a kiss on the cheek. When they get to the beach, they run into the water just like always. They swim and kiss underwater. All that they can think of is how much they love each other. 
“Do you want to go rent to jet ski?”Alex asks.
“Why” Cori asks back” You can’t rent jet ski here.”
“Yes you can” Alex says pointing down the beach.
“Ok then” Cori replied. They walk over to the jet ski area. after they get it, they hop on and Alex goes fast and Cori goes slow. Alex asks “Why are you going so slow.”
“Because it’s my first time” Cori says.
“Oh” Alex says” you will learn with time.”A few minutes later Cori has got the hang of it.”Good job” Alex says
“Thanks” Cori says. After when they have to return the jet ski, They go their separate ways.” bye” Cori says.
“Bye” Alex says. They kiss and go their separate ways.

A few days turn into weeks and then eventually the time has come. The day has come to say goodbye.

When Cori is leaving, Alex comes to say goodbye. They both sit on Cori's front steps.
”I’m going to miss you” Cori says.
“Same” Cori says.
Alex responds” I’ll take the train to come visit you”. They stare at each other knowing long distance will be hard, but they can do it. Cori's dad calls” Cori.”
Cori  responds “One sec.”
Alex says” Bye love you” and kisses Cori.”I love you and bye” Cori says as she walks to the car.
