Lone survivor
The wolf walks slowly. Blood sweeping down the front of his once white mane. It's eyes still piercing from the moonlight gleaming through the dark forest. Leaving the pack beaten and bruised. It still strides forward in the darkest part of the forest. For the forest is all it knows. Time changes the environment around the wolf. But the wolf has to strong if natural instincts that never seems to change. No matter the changes of its forest. He shall adapt and survive. Pressing forward with his choices of leaving the pack behind. Bearing the weight of the consequences all alone. Having only the scars from the constant gnawing from the pack. Staying for so long only for the cubs. Still a creature to be feared. For he came out stronger then ever before. Unafraid of the okay of shadows from the trees at his paws. Walking until he came upon a clearing of the trees. Where he stood tall. Watching a strong and tall warrior. Fighting a endless fog that continued to come in around him heavier and darker. Holding the tilt of his sword high above his head. Screaming out each time he pierced into the darkness. The wolf saw bodies piling up all around the warrior. Others completely lost to the fog. Never ever being able to be guided away. Time dragged. Until the warrior fell to his knees. Dropping his sword to the wet ground at his feet. He glanced over to the wolf. The howled for him. The man took a deep breath. Getting up to his feet. Leaving the screaming battle behind him. The warrior followed the wolf into the darkness of the forest.
