Halloween eyes
Fighting my way through the undergrowth, I reached the bottom of the school eco-garden. A sudden growl sent shivers running down my body, and a pair of glowing green eyes stared at me from the bushes. Me and my friends were confused. We had seen no such things that had bright green glowing eyes. We were baffled. We immediately evacuated the area and entered the school building before any harm was made. At lunchtime, we discussed what had happened during break . In a rush, we quickly ate the fish fingers and cleaned the leftovers on our mouths with the special ''jumper cloth''.We had made it up in year one when we used our school jumpers to wipe anything on our mouths. After wiping our mouths we hurriedly rushed outside making sure not to run or the school headteacher would get us in trouble. Soon after, we left the school dinner hall and a were outside. We went to the corner of the playground so no one could take in what we were saying and then we decided that this mission would be a secret. After talking for some time the whistle had blown. It was time for home time. However, we weren't sad. It was Halloween! Both me and Gerald had planned to go trick or treating tonight so we decided to forget about it for now and bring it up tomorrow at school. After trick or treating yesterday, we came to school the following day. We looked at it again but this time hiding behind the corner of the building. We were more suspicious than yesterday. Gerald had completely forgotten as he started to play football. As I was going to call him the whistle was blown. This meant it was time for assembly. My class obeyingly became silent and started to walk into the hall where the assembly was taking place. Soon after it started, the headteacher said,'' Who saw the green eyes in the bush yesterday and today? If you did raise your hands now please.'' Everyone raised their hands and then she followed with,'' I told Mr Bangheet to place them there for the upcoming Halloween party''.Then she finished the assembly as normal and said a big thanks to us for joining. After school ended me and Gerald walked home. Neither I nor Gerald knew it could be a Halloween decoration. But suddenly, in the corner of my eye, I saw the same green lights walk across the road....
