Laminating by the school  light 
Always on the spot 
Stressed and worrying 
Never catching a break 
Watching the clock 
Waiting to go home  
Not able to show people who I really am 
What my true colors are 
What I was put on this earth to be 
 In my room 
By myself 
That’s where I shine best 
Soaking in my thoughts 
Without a fret of being judged or ashamed 
I shine the most alone 
That’s all I need
