She cried the first time he left. She was young and naive, a little girl who lost her daddy. Now she is older and cynical, wishing he stayed gone for good. There were so many chances where that little girl could have lost her father and she cried every time, not knowing she would lose him either way. The man she now lives with is a stranger to her. He preaches ideals that he will never follow. He puts on the skin of the little girl’s daddy and tries to mimic him. She distances himself from the stranger, bracing herself for when the facade falls next. And when it does, she sits alone in her room wishing he would leave again, and she would shed no tears over him. She sits and wishes that he would die because her daddy is already dead.
