Chapter 1: Revenge. All I remember at that time were the ear-piercing screeches emitting off the slowly decaying body of what was, my mother. I was but a young child… One completely diverged from basic human emotions - one whose convoluted mind couldn’t think of any alternate solutions other than to kill. “Shut up…” my slurred speech was blatantly obvious, as my mind was in an utter state of darkness… ‘Revenge is never a valid solution to ease your pain’ is what my mother always used to say, and she was right… Revenge is not meant to ease the pain, but to balance the scales. Yet as I stood above the mutilated corpse of my mother, the thought of what my life would be amounted to had begun intertwining with the morbidly disturbing smell as my mothers body continued decaying at a rapid pace - yet that didn't bother me, I paced over and grabbed my notebook titled “Diary.” as my thumbs ran through the empty pages I stopped at the bookmarked one, scanning through the words of my victims as I crossed out the word "mother”... My speech, still slurred, had quietly mumbled the last name of my list of targets… Marilyn. As the words sputtered out of my mouth, the memories of her began flooding in… The beloved memories, and the dreaded ones. You see, I made a pact with death.. A deal with the devil as some may call it- we agreed that at the cost of everyone I loved I would be able to achieve the life I had always wanted, the wealth, the love… Everything. Whether it be death- or just a figment of my imagination I have to fulfil its wishes, even if it is at the cost of my own life… As I prepared to depart the premises to search for Marilyn I heard loud thuds, followed by the sound of some guy murmuring. As I intensely looked around I realized I wasn’t alone - this caused a wave of slight panic and a mix of other feelings… But mainly just panic. As the thuds became louder and louder, my eyes began widening more and more as I attempted to find an area to hide from whomever dares to lurk the premises. Yet before I could hide behind a dark cabinet, I heard somebody yell followed by a loud bang, hearing that bang caused me to succumb to my greatest fear, my death. As my mind began swirling with thoughts I suddenly felt a sharp pain and numbness in my left leg, before I even had the chance to look down I began falling as I winced in pain. Yet as that thought filled my mind I was suddenly awoken from the lucid dream by the sound of chiming bells filling my ears. As sweat beads began dripping down my head I suddenly arose from whatever that nightmare was. My panting intensified as I looked around at the clock “9:15-” I murmured to myself as I quickly arose from my bed and looked at the clock again… “- I need to check out at 9:20…” I quickly put on my blood stained shirt as I put my sweater over it to cover the semi-obvious stains. The thought of that dream was engraved in my mind as I began climbing down the continuous flights of stairs, the key to my hotel door in hand… “Tough time waking up?” The pretty lady at the front desk exclaimed as I quickly handed my holographic key card “... Door 421” I whispered as I began leaving the building, stopped by the voice of the lady- “Your sweater… Looks a bit stained, you sure it's alright?” The sweater almost instantaneously was teleported to my hand as I quickly left the area - the lady tried to murmur something, but I couldn't care less… As I sprinted to the nearest bus stop, my eyes wandered down as I grabbed my notebook, finding myself quickly scrimmaging through the pages trying to find my only photo of Marilyn - yet just as I had arrived at the B29000 stop, I found her… the photo. I stared into her distracting blonde hair and her beautiful jade eyes as the remembrance of her sweet vanilla fragrance swirled through my mind as I was unknowingly sniffing the photo, my only friend. Just as I had reluctantly placed the photo in my pocket, my bus had arrived - Levitating in front of me awaiting my entrance- as I stepped on the gravitating steps as the robotic driver in a monotone voice asked “$50?” sticking its hand out. I had no choice but to unwillingly pay… Chapter 2: Hunt. Glancing at my notebook and then the door, was all I was doing for the past 5 minutes - just reassuring myself that it was her house, “1523, My memories good- I wouldn't forget.” was all I murmured before reluctantly tapping the holographic doorbell, barely even holding it. I looked up to see an old man - maybe his mid 50s, tired, old, reeked of coffee- and everything in between. My eyes widened as I quickly murmured “sorry, sorry, sorry…” as I quickly sprinted down the stairs and away from the premises… that's not him… 1523? 1235? 5123? WHAT IS IT? My eyes had begun filling up with tears as I sprinted down even faster, the sound of her voice echoed in my head as sweat beads had begun forming, slowly dropping down to the ground as the smell of my sweat had begun emitting a certain stench. Yet as I had begun to calm down - trying to my composure, I was already on the floor suffering a heavy blow to my knee. As I laid on the floor, my eyes had begun drifting off. What was I truly doing with my life? Was all this just to rot in a prison cell? I couldn’t feel anything- emotionally and physically. Yet just as I had begun to close my eyes, I heard a voice. An easily recognizable voice- “Hey, are you okay?” my eyes had almost instantly widened, how - who- “Let's get you sat down-” is all I heard as I was carried to a nearby bench, yet as I tried to say something, my speech slurred she shushed me- "Listen, your not in good condition to talk - let's get you to a hospital now. She was right there, Marilyn. That same scent, hair, that same… Everything. I wanted to do something, I wanted to pull out my knife and finish her then, I wanted to just win, did I? I don't know, I just… Chapter 2 Part 2: Rescue. As I awoke from my deep slumber I felt incapacitated, I felt as if I couldn’t move at all - not even if I wanted to. Sweat was emitting from seemingly everywhere. I could barely see, yet all I recognized was the hospital bed, the just like my dads- “Jose? You're finally awake, I'm doctor-" "Where am I?” ”Huh, well you're at Speedwell Hospital…?” Everything was a blur from then, I can't even remember. But all I remember was her. Where do I go once discharged? Where even is Speedwell? These were just two of the many questions swirling through my head as I laid on that bed. “She saved my life, didn’t she.” “Well, the injury wasn’t that serious but- I guess so yeah.” The urge for lust had begun numbing for a minute, what was this feeling? I had never felt anything like this before, my stomach had begun fluttering.. She was so pretty, she was just.. “No, don't get yourself distracted Jose, finish her and finish everything, get what you’ve always wanted…” was what had suddenly closed my mind off. But I didn’t even have time to finish what I was saying, as I was suddenly alerted by a nurse that I was being discharged.
