Dr's pov: To be completely honest we were expecting something bad to happen from the very beginning but what we imagined didn't even compare with the devastation that was to take place. I never wanted to talk about this incident ever again but what choice do I have, if I don't do this it will kill me too. I've only got myself to blame, I knew I shouldn't have had anything to do with this project but I was desperate for the money. Everyone involved was promised £10,000 if this project was a success, I guess that's why I didn't back down even after noticing all of the red flags. Even so, I should start this from the beginning. This is Dr J. Heywood on the 31st voice log of A-72. Subject 3117 is now the only living specimen of project 72 at lab building A. 3117 is being kept in a solitary chamber because it has already killed three men and put seven in hospital. There have been many incidents where 3117 has lashed out. As of the moment it is not eating nor is it moving from its chosen spot. It is as though it has gone into hibernation but we are not sure if it is tricking us or not, like last time. We will wait a few more days to hook it up to an IV drip, it's just finding someone to do it. Danny has taken leave and everyone else is scared shitless at the mention of that thing. Because of this job I have seen grown men break down and cry or simply start screaming until they pass out from the lack of oxygen or lose their voices. Most of the people who were on this project have ended up in building C our psych ward. It would be understandable if the people on this team were ordinary but these were scientists, with what seemed to be a resolve to steal. Even so there's only seventeen of us left now out of the thirty-one who started this project. This is Dr J. Heywood on the 42nd voice log of A-72. The night everything went wrong was the 3rd of November, the seventh year of the project. At the time we didn't realize what we did wrong but on further reflection I now know what it was. the three mistakes that cost over five hundred people their lives. The first was that we had someone other than Danny enter 3117's chamber, the second was that the door was left open and the third was that the man who went in there had the audacity to touch the creature that we had so much pain in. You might be wondering who the man named Danny is. He was a humble cleaner and was overall a really great guy, I could never fully tell whether he was crazy, stupid or incredibly brave. But that isn't what matters; he is the only person to ever be allowed into the chamber by the creature. The only time Danny ever got hurt being in there was when it gently scratched his arm leaving a strange black scar. Even after he was scratched he still went back in and still sat beside it gently running his fingers through its fur. He always seemed strangely close with the creature he nicknamed kitty, almost like they were connected. I once asked him how he managed to become so close with the creature, he just replied with a simple "I Never did anything to hurt it and I'm not the reason it's here so it carries no resentment towards me". I can't really fault his logic, I suppose it's because what he said was true. Creature's pov: My earliest memories are of the lab with only pain scattered throughout them, because of this I carry a deep resentment towards scientists. Each day a different part of me hurts. At first, I didn't do anything but then I started to lash out at the people who came into my chamber to try and hurt me. It went on like this for 6 years until he came, a nice man who had a warm orange aura. I loved this smell. He was there for 2 months before I met him. The only reason I knew he was there was because I could smell him before he even came into the building. His scent made me really happy. When he would come to the lab I would try and get out to him or simply scratch at the one way glass. When he would leave I would curl up in a corner until he came back. When I finally met him it was by accident. He had taken a wrong turn and ended up in the observation room to my chamber. I was so excited I was jumping around everywhere and coming up to the glass to staring at him. Someone else came and the nice man asked if he was allowed in to see me. The other man stared at him with a look of awe and confusion, I sat there patiently staring at the other man. The other man said he could if he wanted to. As soon as he said it I started jumping around again. The man came in and I lay down a short way from the door, he introduced himself as Danny and then slowly approached me. I carefully got up and walked to him so I could sniff him. He went to touch me and a voice on the intercom worriedly told him not to. I looked over to the glass and growled then went and curled up around Danny pulling him to the floor. We sat like that with him stroking me until he had to leave. Every day since, he would care for me. I loved Danny. He was my world and the only one to be nice to me thus far. Then he disappeared, he didn't come back, I missed him. I had a rough idea of where he was, I gave him my mark so I would never lose him. It has been two weeks since I last saw Danny. I don't want to move around anymore, I miss him. I've not been eating, I can't seem to want to, so I don't. Tick...Tick...Tick...Click. The door opening was one of the last things I remember other than a stupid scientist's voice calling out to me. I remember him touching me but only Danny is allowed to touch me. I can only remember flashes of what came next but two things really stuck out. The screaming and yelling of the scientists as I ripped them apart and the blood. Blood so red and fresh the smell of iron in the air as the last of them bleed out. I must say that it wasn't displeasing to watch the project leader beg for his life right before I took it. The walls, floor and even the ceiling that were once white were now forever stained with the blood of the people who hurt me. I walked out of there far more accomplished than I sought out to be. I had a man in my teeth. I instructed him to tell others about this event, only then will he be free from joining the victims of the Mirrordale Massacre. I might be free but I could never be happy without Danny, he is my world and he is the only one I need. So I went looking. Once I had left the lab I went looking for Danny, I was following his scent. It led me to a large building where lots of small one resided. When I tried to find Danny here, I realized the scent wasn't quite the same. It was different, slightly sweet and it was smaller. I spotted where it was coming from, it was a small girl. She had black hair just like Danny and bright green eyes that almost glowed. Walked to a corner and curled up on the ground. The girl ran to the building's entrance and disappeared inside. When she came back she sat with me and brushed my fur. When Danny came he ran straight over to us and got the girl off me, then he noticed her arm. I had marked her as one of the people I trust, just like Danny. When he calmed down, he told me her name was Molly and that she was his daughter. I got up and walked out of the school. Unfortunately while we were distracted the armed forces had come due to someone reporting my presence. I wanted to let Danny decide what to do here but I won't let them touch him.
