Short Story Running through the woods, Caroline stumbled as she stepped on a sharp rock. Tears welled up in her eyes as she felt the wind whip around her face. It was cold outside, but she knew she had to keep going. She knew they weren’t far behind her. Barefoot, she continued on. The events just 4 days prior kept replaying in her head and she was terrified beyond belief. They couldn’t catch her, she didn’t know what they’d do to her if she was to stop. “Hey! There she is!” She heard someone yell. They were to her right, she quickly darted to her left, pushing further. All of a sudden, she slipped. Tumbling down a hill, hitting her body on many sticks and boulders. Then she woke up. Still in the same room she was in before she escaped, almost untouched. Arms strapped to the bed rails she screamed for help. Nobody came, they never did. Nobody would dare come near her after what she did. Her sister lay 10 feet deep from the result of her hobbies. Caroline wouldn’t have had to do it if she wouldn’t have caught her. This wasn’t her first victim either, her sister had just found her at the wrong time and she became just like the other or at least that was the story. Unfortunately, the real killer was still out there, framing Caroline for everything. The real perpetrator was good at covering tracks and making the accused look guilty.
