your objective outcomes might discourage next the Salinger or Milton into obscurity because it was overshadowed by mediocrity. But who am I to judge, I couldn't even top a story about eggs and honey.

I'm not going to criticize your story, if one could even call it a story. During the voting I read few good stories with better plots and characters with actual storytelling and world building, but I think a majority of the contestants can't actually take the time to read a story longer than 200 words which is evident from the first place and second place winners. So to anyone reading and is prepared to join the next contest please take your time to actually read and vote for a real stories, don't be lazy. more »

does anyone on this website actually know how to read or provide an honest feedback. This isn't a story, it's a 55 word summary of a Greek mythology, a summary and you voted It pretty good.

This isn't even literature or a real story.. Compared people who actually put time and effort into plot and storytelling, you guys opt to vote for the most unimaginable piece of prose with no purpose, brilliance or craft. The plot is simple and engaging and the writing is polished.
The subject matter is handled deftly by the author, a satisfying and well written story.
