LASHANDIA TYNISE BILLINGSLEY was born in 1980 In Tacoma, Washington. Her mother was murdered by the one responsible for her well-being—her father— out of jealousy and rage. Raised by her grandparents, she began writing poetry at thirteen when she fell in love with William Shakespeare’s poetry. She currently lives in Nevada.
