• Space Exploration: Chandrayaan-3, which was launched by ISRO took off on July 14, 2023, and touched down moon on August 23, 2023. With its successful landing close to the moon's south pole, it made India the 1st country to touch down near the lunar south pole and the 4th country to achieve a soft landing on the lunar surface.
• Artificial Intelligence: India is emerging as a global leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The country has launched several AI initiatives, such as the National AI Mission, which aims to make India a global hub for AI research and development. Indian startup Niramai has developed an AI-powered breast cancer scanning tool, which is more accurate than traditional methods.
• IT: India is a global powerhouse in Information Technology (IT). Indian IT companies are at the forefront of emerging fields like cybersecurity, data analytics, Global Capability Centre (GCC), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). 
• Robotics: India is swiftly advancing in robotics. Innovative robots have been developed for engineering, surgery, and agriculture.
• UPI:  India is the only country where UPI is used for payments. The total volume of transactions via UPI is INR 12.11 trillion. 
• Literacy Rate: India’s literacy rate has increased significantly. In 1950, 20 percent Indians were literate. Today in 2024, 86 percent of Indians are literate. 

Conclusion:
At present, India is the world’s 5th largest economy and is expected to become the 3rd largest economy between 2027 and 2028. It is also the biggest democracy in the world. India is a developing nation and is projected to become a developed nation by the year, 2047. 

The nation has advanced significantly in fields like education, science & technology, industrialization, infrastructure, space exploration, etc. but it is still dealing with issues like inequality, poverty, and environmental damage. The Government is continuously working in introducing many schemes and policies to address these issues.

India's inspirational tale is one of perseverance, adaptability, and the power of its youth. The present is shaped by the past, and the future is shaped by the present. To ensure a better future for its people, India must continue to learn from its past as it grows.
